A/B Testing
A/B testing is a process which shows the user one web page (A) to compare with another web page (B) for the purposes of tracking behavior based on which of version the user has seen. Usually, the A web page is the landing web page that is currently in use and the B web page is an entirely new web page. The A/B tests are commonly applied to clicked on ad copy and landing web page copy to determine which version drives the more desired result.
Above the Fold
It is the section of a web page that is visible without any scrolling. Above the Fold is a term traditionally used to describe the top portion of а newspaper. In e-mail or web marketing it means the area of content viewable prior to scrolling. The part of an email message or web page that is visible without scrolling. Some people also define above the fold as an ad location at the very top of the screen.

is in an abridged from Advertisement. The ad is everything that draws attention towards to some service, product or people. Ads appear on Internet, TV, Radio, Magazines and Newspapers. If we are talking about online advertisement (online ads) - it can be positioned anywhere on a search results web page. It is a searcher sees after submitting a query in a search engine or web site search box. In PPC - this advertisement is usually text format with a Title, Description and display URL.

It is software on a user browser that prevents online advertisements from being displayed. Ad Blockers can block any other content that is not online advertisement.

Ad Copy is a printed text or spoken words in paid search online advertisement.

It is any space on the web page, which is available for online advertisements.
Ad Title
The first line of text displayed in a clickable search or context-served ad. Ad Titles serve as ad headlines.
Affiliate Marketing
Affiliate marketing is an agreement between two websites (between online advertiser / merchant and online publisher / salesperson) in which one website (the affiliate) agrees to feature content or an ad designed to drive traffic to the other website. The affiliate website receives a percentage of sales (commission) generated by that traffic. Affiliate marketing is a pay per result arrangement. Affiliates only get paid when (if) online visitors complete an action.
Some internet affiliates websites make thousands or millions of dollars per year, because they are focused on automation and tap very large traffic streams. Usually niche affiliate websites make more money per unit effort than overtly broad ones.
You have to know that selling a conversion is harder than selling a click (for example: AdSense does).
Agent Name Delivery
This is the act of presenting one set of content to search engine spiders based on the name of the spider and another set of content to human internet users. Agent name is the name of the crawler (spider) that is currently visiting a web page. The spider is a robot sent out by some search engine to catalogue some website on the Internet.

Algorithm is a set of rules that a search engine uses to rank the listings in response to a particular query. Every search engine not reveals how their algorithm works. This is to protect itself from other competitors and those who wish to spam the search engine.

Alt Attribute
Alt Tags
The Alt tag is an HTML tag that allows a browser to display text instead of a graphic. It gets displayed when the Internet user puts the mouse over the graphic. Alt tags also make web pages more accessible to the disabled. All the website images can be given an Alt tag. The value of Alt tag for search engine optimization (SEO) have been discounted over time by the search engines to the point that now it is of minimal value. Some search engines read the alt tags in order to help with rankings.
Alt Text
Alt text is a HTML attribute that provides alternative text when the images cannot be displayed. It is used to provide images with a text. That description is visible while you hover on top of an image or a picture. The Alt text is placed in an Alt attribute.
